anna maria horner and Good Folks.

I'm in an unhealthy kind of love with Anna Maria Horner's unreleased new line of fabric. Good Folks. I've only seen the sneak peaks on her blog, but it's making me light headed and all woozy and I kind of want to throw up.

Seriously. I'm painting a room blue, and framing good folks all over a wall.

It's controlling my thoughts. And the '09 Cruze budget plans.

i'm on mermag this week.

I feel flattered. I love mermag. I'm a little inadequate to be mingling with such a beautiful design blog. Target is about where my practical design wanna-be-ness begins, and ends. ANd etsy. And Dutch Valley Antiques. And the whispers in my brain telling me to put a green pillow there. I just try to copy Merrilee.

I wish she could dress me every morning. LIke send over a quick email with detailed sketches of what to pull out of my closet for the day. And the clothes would just be there, like fashion magic. With green shoes. I want some green shoes.

Merrilee has graciously invited me to share some of my good things with her readers this week. I'm excited. Thanks, Mer.

And for those of you clicking over...THANKS for coming! You're officially invited to loiter a while, and read a healthy handful of ramblings and brain squirts from a busy and happy lady with cute kids who makes too much stuff and keeps things on a blog; and who gets weepy over beautiful, creative things. Like her kids. And some other materialistic stuff. Really, they keep me up at night. The kids and the pretty things.

Actually, you better go ahead and pour yourself some sparkling apple cider and hang out. We can talk about which Tuesday Mourning sketch we want to be. I'm Meg #8. With this coat becaue I want it. I mean, I appreciate it.

And as for my group of faithful friends and validators...read mermag this week and forever. Unite.

I talk too much. Look how long this post is. I could've just said I'm guest blogging on mer mag this week. Hooray, I'm so happy. I love you Merrilee. Save the elves.

But no. I choose to ramble.
The end.

holiday cards.

I love cool Holiday cards. I want to send myself a bunch of colorful, vintage and retro looking cards so I can line them up in a cool frame and add them to my Christmas decor.

But really. Lets. Face. Facts.

I'm not organized enough to send cards. Before I think about self addressed stamped envelopes, I should probably start with sending sweet sugar plum sentiments to my beloved family and friends, complete with a dolled up family photo which will never be taken. But the address hunting thing isn't in my future.

So have some holiday greetings using the great gift of technology. Send e-cards, and call it world peace.

If you'd like to e-share this volkswagen & wiener dog (designed for Heather and Rosco, I mean Rico) greeting with your book club or your virtual blogging buddies, send me an email. I can put your own clever greeting on it, (or you can do it yourself on picnik) and send it to you via email attachment. Or just click and copy it. Then you can use our wonderful web resources, like snapfish, to create some personalized holiday cards. For yourself. And frame them.

I would love to but I'm not promising to post more designs I've got stuck in my head. Maybe. Possibly. If the to-do list complies.

Happy December.

i love this advent calendar.

Found it on the purl bee.

I'm gonna make it.
Next year.
Although, I don't think I'll put scissors in it.

What do you put in an advent calendar for 5 kids? They'll all fight over the one melted hershey kiss that could fit in the pocket. Or the one green m&m. Or the penny. That will just be eaten.

Hmmm.

But it sure is pretty.

I knew I liked the Dirty Jobs guy for a reason.

Read this letter. By Mike Rowe.

If you want. I'm not telling you what to do.

bags for tracy.

diaper pocket and changing pad.

wool dryer balls. And cloth diapers. go green. save the world.

So I found this tutorial on goodmama while researching dryer sheet alternatives.

Wool dryer balls. They're supposed to cut down drying time and fluff your clothes without dryer sheets. To avoid waste and chemicals and stuff.

I might try 'em. Mostly just so I can have a big glass jar of colorful yarn balls in my laundry closet. And to um, rethink-reuse-recycle.

goodmama makes cloth diapers. Cute ones. My sister uses cloth diapers, and has no complaints. Well, as much as we all do about what comes with diapers. But she likes 'em. So if you've been thinking about cloth diapering, talk to Cassy. And goodmama.

I'm totally a disposable kind of girl. I love luvs.

i love martha's craft of the day today.

Beaded Mamograms. I mean Monograms.

I think I just love the greens in the picture. I'm not actually patient enough to make the momogram. But good idea, Martha. Or staff thereof.

dani L.

I'd like to introduce you to a new up-and coming artist on the indie scene. THis girl is fantastic. dani L. has such an honest, youthful flair in her art. Her creativity is unique, and uncontrollable.

It's in her soul.

perspective. and projects.

I'm a little stressed out. I don't mind sharing.

I've got an Andre the Giant sized handful of projects and orders to get out before Christmas, and even though I'm sewing like a mad momma...where are the finished products?

I'll tell ya. They're in the flooded toilets. The pukey sheets. The sibling rivalry.

They're stuck in the sucker punch that caused a good week's worth of contention, squashing all hopes of brotherly love. They're in the goldfish and vanilla wafers building their own community under my couch. They're all wrapped up in the day Kacie could reach the door handles; and destroy whatever is at peace within.

The cushion forts. The diaper rash. The abyss of menu planning. The advil.

They're in that place in my head where logic meets exhaustion.

Interruptions.

Whoa, I guess I just called those interruptions kids. yikes.

I suppose if my chidren were publicly whining about their stress levels, they would call the interrruptions projects.

woops.
sorry kiddos.

To those of you who are patiently waiting on me for goodies, thank you for not sending me emails in CAPS. I apologize. I'm working, I promise.

Put Scribbit on your bloggy schedule; I'm giving you time to plan ahead. And I'll follow up with a reminder. I'm promoting this because I can't stand it. And...I made Scribbit the beautiful buttons for you to put on your sidebar. Indulge me.

And add this on your calender, with a big red circle and a hand...like theirs. From Sew Mama Sew.

If you don't frequent the SewMamaSew Blog, then poo poo on you. This is the month to change your ways. They're posting cool homemade gift ideas each day of the month. An awesome place to support creative types. I love it. Oh, you know I love it. I get all gooey and hyperventilate about this stuff.

So plan ahead and take advantage of the cool free stuff! Maybe.

It's all about preparedness these days.
