the kids made dinner tonight.

Crayola Washables.
Best domestic thing that ever happened to me.
That and windex wipes.
Tomorrow I'm gonna get Joey to color the entire table green.

covergirl.

When I hear quiet...Kacie's busy.

At first glimpse of my open bedroom door, she grabs the closest stepping precipice, struts her stuff to the master bath, and climbs into the sink to hang out with her reflection and mommy's magic bag of covergirl.

She fancies the whipped Tru-Blend foundation. As do I.

This time I was distracted. Not until she came downstairs repeating "I koot (cute)" did I notice her flawless complexion.

baby legs tutorial.

So I've seen a ton of baby legs tutorials on the web lately. It's such a cool alternative when you can get awesome socks for $2 a piece. And EASY! Seriously guys.

Here we go:

Pull the sock gently so it stretches as you sew, making sure your stitches stay close and tight. Stay right up to the edge of your sock.

That's it. They stay tight up at the top, but can hang out all cute and ruffly by her sweet little feet.

Then I had these footies left over. I used 'em to practice the ruffle edge thing (there's a technical name for that ruffle, but I have no idea what it is).

And I couldn't just let them sit there staring at me. So they turned into these.

Here's another super easy tutorial without a sewing machine from little birdie secrets. She uses them as arm warmers...very cool.

Happy Weekend. Go buy some socks. Target has a way cute 3 pack for $6.99 right now. Go, Go!

best stupid thing I've done.

I have grey hair. Lots of it. A noticable amount. Take a look. Can't you see it?

NO?
Because I dyed it this morning. By myself, with the kids hanging out in the bathroom, with a store bought dye.
I've been told that's bad for my hair...store bought dye. But I can't get myself to pay $60 for a salon color every 2-3 months. You can buy a lot of oreos with that kind of money.
Is that stupid? Not oreos, duh. To dye your own hair?
You bet. $11.73 and no more grey hair worth of stupid.
And a nice shine to boot.
