I didn't mean to have a bag thing.

It just kinda happened.

And I was kinda in denial...like, I know I make them all the time; and I get sad when a beauty pops into my head and I can't corral the do list enough to make it; and I stare at people's handbags, rather embarrasingly; but I never thought I really had a thing. You know?

But then I saw this on mermag.

And my heart did this flutter thing.
I totally wasn't prepared.

So I followed the link to madebyhank.
And I definitely have a bag thing.
Bad.

I got cotton mouth and started to sweat.
I love these bags.

Conan is preparing tonight for a big training meeting tomorrow so I bought myself a 75% off box of chocolates to cuddle up with while I watch the last two recorded episodes of LOST. I was looking forward to speculating and Dark Butter Caramel, but instead, I can't stop looking at bags.

It's definitely a thing when it interferes with priorities.

The Grosgrain Lady is Genius.

You probably know her. She's been around the blogosphere lately. And I think she's a genius. Her name is Kathleen Dougherty. The site is called Grosgrain.

Do you want your blog to reach super-stardom? Make some seriously awesome clothes, and give them away.

That simple, right? Yeah, dude. If you can make gorgeous clothing and take beautiful pictures of them with all that time you have.

I heard of her on DesignMom, forgot about it, then followed the link from Lori, and here she is. All up in my life and cool and stuff.

How does one make clothing like that? I'd like to learn

can i please be a photgrapher in my next life? please?

No joke. I love photography. I go goo-goo when I find awesome pics.

Like these. LindsayJane Photography.

I knew Lindsay before she moved out to Utah forever ago. She is now a super-duper successful real life photographer. And a darn good one. I haven't seen her forever, and just found her blog after a good linkin' session. I linked right to her. Surprise.

Her photos make me want to do two things. Okay three things. Buy an expensive camera and pretend I can do that. Get married again so I can have pictures like that. And spend lots of money for pictures of my family, like that.

And then there are these by my cousin's wife, Becky.

I'd like to have the sunset photo blown up in my bedroom. Of me and Conan, of course. Romantic, eh?

Gee whiz. Photo Envy.

nicole hill

For those of you who love photography...meet Nicole Hill. In all your spare time, check out her favorite shoots on her blog, A Little Sussy, and imagine your cute little family in her lens. Or wish she was the one at your wedding.

Dream, dream.

I'd love to show you myself, but I am respecting copyright.

Here, I'll do the hard work for you, just click this, and admire.

It'd be totally worth it to fly all the kids to Utah and pay whatever it takes to have her immortalize the cuteness of my young kids...so they can be forever. Worth it, right? Hmm.

Wish, and dream.

so this is love...

I suppose she wakes up to birds pulling open her drapes, and making her bed, and has evil people telling her to make absolutely gorgeous treats I want to eat, and take beautiful pictures I want to devour; so she does her best, to survive.

Poor, poor bakerella.

i want...

i mean, "i would like to have"...a studio.

heather bailey

we're not allowed to say "i want" in our house. you say "may i please have" or "i would like" or "I'd really appreciate" etc.

...I would be grateful for...every pretend crafter's dream. a place for everything, beautified.

sandi henderson

I have discovered Sandi Henderson, by accident this week, and I can't stop. Her blog, Portabellopixie, is so beautiful to look at, and so many places for my eyes, and imagination, to rest. Her collection of fabulous fabric is called Ginger Blossom, and I am trying desperately to justify a good ole' loan from my friend Mr. Discover for a sweet dip in the Blossom pond, but I cannot. I'll just have to wait for good fortune (or to sell some toys) to make something vibrant and lovely with this.

She just wanted to design fabric, so she did. Ambition baby. I can dream now, and research, and sketch, and dream, and marvel in the success of other talented women. I have a new ambition, not just to sell stuff, or to learn to play the fiddle, or to win American Idol, but to design a line of fabric. A dream it is. But I can work for it, and try. Later. Now I've got to change a poopy.

I knew I loved this lady when I saw The Weepies on her playlist. Mmm.
