candied pecans

i have some of these...wasting their time in my cupboard...screaming for vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. i have neither. so, so cruel.

candied pecans

2/3 cup packed brown sugar

4 Tbsp butter

2 Tbsp water

2 tsp cornstarch

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans


Combine brown sugar, butter, water, and cornstarch in small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until bubbly.Stir in pecans. Sperad warm pecan mixture on tinfoil lined baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes in preheated, 375 degree oven for 5 minutes. Remove foil from pan and cool.



These are so yummy on salads, too.
