January makes you think. and buy cute workout clothes.

Photobucket
{Joey and Andy in Orlando this summer}

I've been absent. I know. I blinked, and the holidays were over. Andy went to college. And the kids need new shoes.

I miss DisneyWorld.

I remember doing an assignment in Elementary School, watching my hand write the year 1987 in the top right corner of the page, and thinking...whoa. I'm getting old. We wrote about what life would be like in 20 years. I wrote we'd be able to plug cars in, have little tv's you could carry in your hand, and you could push a button on the side of your head and talk to whoever you want.

visionary.
I think I also invented the chocolate fountain that day.
Then I went home and listened to Pop Goes the World on my walkman.

Time is moving. fast. And sometimes I forget I need to go with it.

And sometimes I forget to blog. because I'm busy trying to slow down so I won't forget to watch time move.

I'm trying not to blink again. I want to live this year slowly.

and do a few other things.

resolutions

My resolution was simple.

Have more self discipline.

I have been giving myself laptop therapy online for the past 4 hours today.

I think I am doing great so far.

I went out and shoveled the driveway halfway in between so that I wouldn't feel so guilty.

I have a new resolution.

Just love myself. I think if I can do that better then a lot of other things will fall into place...like exercise, or painting my nails, or having better relationships.

i love you cally

and because I love me better this year i am not going to tell you that my posts are never as good as yours.

I couldn't help but notice, "perfect the Sunday roast," and it made me say, me too. I think it has something to do with browning in a cast iron skillet on all sides before braising it. Let's compare notes along the way.

And so are you.

Time does go too fast indeed.
Once Matthew was a little baby who I held in my arms, rocked, sleepless nights with ear infections and colic........cursing then
CRYING now that those times are gone, as is he.
so tragic.

gotta focus
enjoy those un-noticed blessings that hit us in the face and we sometimes refuse to recognize.
so tragic.

live live slowly as possible

and wow, I didn't know ANDY was already in college (tee, hee)

I guess some may think that I am a terrible person... but I don't do New Years Resolutions. I am going to try and figure out my one word resolution.

Our WW leader told us last week that 80% of people give up on their resolutions by February (he gave a specific date and I did not write it down.)

He said we need short term goals that are attainable and realistic and limit how many you have. Then your chances of accomplishing the goals are greater.

Nothing about your brainstorm seems overdone to me.

I just found your blog, um I have no idea how, maybe via Pinterest (I'm working and blog browsing, everything's a bit fuzzy), but I'm so glad I did. Just to see that list. Especially the part about "people are not a check list"
thank you
I have too much on my plate and I need to slow down.
