It's been one month since my last entry. don't be mad. I'd like to say it's because I've been busy, but not really. I've been ignoring you. We unplugged, you know, and although I did not include you in the official "unplugging", things just worked out that you were horribly and sadly left in the dusty corner of all things put aside. You were in good company...waiting patiently with American Idol and Emily Henderson. You have valiantly sacrificed your hunger for domestic attention in order to reconnect a family in need. Thank you, dear blog.

I sewed this week. It felt good.

I also ate a bag of cookies in the car this morning. Approximately 8 large-ish cookies. {Okay not approximately. quite literally 8.} It felt good too.

Did you know that 1 out of every 3 women die of heart disease? Every 34 seconds. And nearly 2/3 of them didn't have any prior symptoms. It's from eating a whole bag of butter, I mean cookies, on the way to preschool.

yup.

So I shall buy myself a red dress and stop eating buckets of butter. And exercise, more. I Body Pump, you know. And I look just like the girl on the website. It hurts, but it will save me from death by the hydrogenated.

Oh, Eden Marie. I forgot. She's an angel. A solace. Corrie asked if we could make a doll for Eden for her birthday, and so we did. And I love her. And Corrie, too, who does not appreciate stuffing little long skinny legs with fluff. You did good, sis.

baby legs tutorial.

So I've seen a ton of baby legs tutorials on the web lately. It's such a cool alternative when you can get awesome socks for $2 a piece. And EASY! Seriously guys.

Here we go:

Pull the sock gently so it stretches as you sew, making sure your stitches stay close and tight. Stay right up to the edge of your sock.

That's it. They stay tight up at the top, but can hang out all cute and ruffly by her sweet little feet.

Then I had these footies left over. I used 'em to practice the ruffle edge thing (there's a technical name for that ruffle, but I have no idea what it is).

And I couldn't just let them sit there staring at me. So they turned into these.

Here's another super easy tutorial without a sewing machine from little birdie secrets. She uses them as arm warmers...very cool.

giveaway! Because it's the 12th day of Christmas, and other reasons.

I was going to post a giveaway today because I'm so close to finishing my Christmas orders and I wanted to celebrate by giving away some misfit projects that have turned out pretty fantastic. And because Joey has successfully learned how to put himself in time out when necessary. Saves so much transport time and makes the holidays merry.

But now that Gabrielle (we're totally on a first name basis...I'm totally on a first name basis) has clued me into the 12th day of Christmas celebration thing, I'm pretending I knew that and I'm jumping on the festive chuckwagon. I mean band.

And this bag whose shell was cut the wrong size for the almost last bag of the Christmas orders...but I didn't have the heart to send it to the island of silly mistakes, so I completed the bag using cool stuff from the scrap bin. And I love it. And I want you to have it. Because it's the twelth day of Christmas. of course.

The flower is only attached with a safety pin, so you can take it off and put it anywhere you want.

My sister called me the other day and randomly started complaining about how she hates it when radio stations and charity places give these huge prizes away to one person instead of dividing it out among the little people. Like she'd enjoy a slice of that pie thing. Justified.

But I'm not dividing it up. I'm choosing not to give in to the complaints of dewsie. I am her bundle giving adversary. If you win, you get the whole pie!! Or enchilada, whichever you prefer. And maybe even a bonus treat that you may or may not care about. Depending on how you feel about blood sucking blockbusters.

All right, enough babbling.

We went to Krispy Kreme last night. Their computer was down, hence they couldn't accept our credit card, and so instead of rejecting us they gave us our 2 dozen doughnuts for free.

These poor girls, they've been through so much. Nip 'n' tuck, embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, hangovers...uh...wha?...nooooo...fray glue has nasty fumes. It has to have had an affect on them.

Now I will admit I did consume quite of bit of ginger ale whilst deciding upon which color ribbon would bring out their eyes. Their, black, eyes. And it took a few oreos to work out accentuating their positives...you know, like low rider jeans with back pocket flaps camoflauge the lack of round tushy. Meaning flat. What Not to Wear, TLC. I'm giving away my personal flaws. TMI.
