summer fun tip: go in the rain.

We went to the downtown fountains this morning...in the rain. It was by far the wettest fun we've ever had. The only thing better than playing in the rain is playing in giant fountains in the rain. AND...the whole park was ours and ours alone.

Once the sun came out the yellow bus pulled up; this is when we explored the amphitheater, put our feet in the river, and debated if we should go up the sunsphere or not. We opted not, due to stroller constraints and wandering toddlers. Next time.

And this is quite possibly the coolest thing in K-ville.

Yo! Where is that whirly thing? I would have liked to swing on that when I was there!

That is soooo cool! I wanna visit right now! My kids got to do fountains in the rain one night, but it was not planned and I didn't get in on the fun. I must do it next time. You are one cool mama.

I was wondering if you went!! I woke up yesterday with it raining and thought.."no way they are going" and decided to stay home. Looks like you had fun. You will probably NEVER, EVER get that playground all to yourselves again.

Why have I never seen that spinning deal? Looks like tons of fun. Did you know when I went to the World's Fair Park on a first grade field trip (way before there were fountains) one boy in my class put his hands in the river and they were stained BRIGHT BLUE. That's right, back in the day they dyed the water...gross!

Love all the photos, esp the wet one of you and Kacie.

i have been to that new park three times now and never figured out to use a towel on that fun play thing. I just hoisted phia up and let her drop on her head when she got tukered.

You learn something new every day in the blogging world...next trip will be in the rain and with towels.
