I've been making.

Photobucket
Photobucket
My sister in law, Lori, and I are participating in the Candy Cottage Holiday Market this coming Monday at Rocky Hill Elementary School. So I've been buried in MAKING STUFF!!
Photobucket
Hooray! It's been a while. Here are some of the things I will be selling:
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
The paper cuttings will be available for custom orders (your own quote around 5-6 words on the 5x7 hearts) at the Market. I will have 4 of the Grinch Christmas quote cuttings for sale there, but the rest will be done at home and delivered by December 16th.  (Frames not included.) (I can take 30 orders, so if I don't get that many at the market I'll let you guys order some in that shop I've ignored.)
Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
I've got a bunch of bags and aprons, too.  And some rice bags (to warm your toes) and some table runners and some cute little girl flannel skirts.  I'll post some pictures of those this weekend.

The market is from 4-8pm at Rocky Hill Elementary School on Monday, November 28th - if you live in Knoxville and you wanna come.

And if you see something on my blog that you don't see at the market, just ask while you're there and we'll see what we can do.  Depending on how many orders I've gotten.  I want to spend my December drinking sparkling apple cider and eating bon bons by the tree in my $6 Old Navy jammies and fuzzy slippers while listening to Bing Crosby croon the season away.  so I'm limiting special orders.  You understand.

closing up shop.

I know I said Monday, but I've got to stop taking any new orders now. I'm booked. Thank you SO much for your interest and kind words. I am really excited about some of these projects, and need to get to work, big time.

I won't be taking any orders on the blog anymore. After I finish some other long forgotten projects (an awesome cookbook and a belated skirt, for example), I plan to do a lot of research and preparing to do fun stuff on Etsy. I need a more organized forum, so I can be more of a mom. I'll keep you updated as to when that might be.

Thank you so much, for your cheerleading and awesome responses to the stuff I've done. It's been a wonderful learning experience for me. Not only have I made some fabulous friends, but I have a quiet confidence now that I can do this, with some tweaks. Most importantly, I've learned that I love being just a mother. I'm happy with that. I can be an artist, a designer, a business owner, a seamstress, a crafter...tomorrow.

For now, I'm gonna learn about Pokemon. And blog a little. Okay, more than a little. A healthy amount.

Thank you!

The shop is open...

For one week!

I already have projects scheduled up until November! Yikes-o-rama!

I am SO grateful for the interest! I sew during the moments I can squeeze in, which aren't many, so I need to be realistic with what I can do; to be fair to my family, and to you.

So, I'll only be taking orders until August 25.
One week.

Then I'm closed again until next year.

If you've sent me an "unofficial" request, I have you on the list and will be emailing you this week. I will only schedule as many projects as I can in order to make sure everything's done in time for Christmas...and so I still have time to wipe snotty noses. Quality time, you know. LOST is starting soon, too. If I am to be honest.
If you want something, email me (this week) at cally.cruze@gmail.com and I'll put you on the list.

I am thinking about starting this on Etsy in January or February, with clothes and other cool stuff I've got inside my head, but it's kind of intimidating. No, really intimidating. There is so much amazing talent out there, and the comparing and inferior abilities come into play, and I get nervous. I have so much to learn. And again, priorities. It can be a good hobby, until my kids are all in school and then I can really get into it. It's hard to do because I get so excited, but I need to slow it down. Mom first, eh?

Advice is welcome, and needed.

Thank you!!
