take a picture, it'll last longer.

Whenever I clean my house {which is like, so often}
I walk around and make pictures in my head,
and if I like the picture I know it's clean. enough.

The sun was shining today, and I tidied,
so I grabbed my real camera this time.
So it can stay clean forever.

I like to preserve what our kids grow up in.
Like my messy "office"; I didn't clean that one.
Someday we may eat in there.

Such a lovely home!

Explain the board with "Say scriptures", "Be nice", "Chores" and the buttons...I'm curious.

you house is so eclectic and unique. Did you guys move into this house semi-recently, and it's a new construction?. I keep thinking that once, with the YSA, we visited your house for FHE. Or maybe I'm making that up. Hmmm...

Regardless of my random memories, your house looks fantastic. :)

We've moved a few times, thank you medical field!

I find that, no matter how messy the house got, if I took pictures of it cleaned up the way I like it, that's the way I remember it.

THanks guys.

Jessica, I don't think you've been here. It was probably the other Cruze's. maybe?

And Jennifer...that's our day chart. all the things we need to do every day. It's just for reference, really; I'm not real strict about it. And the buttons were originally there to keep track of Wii time, but they're just decoration now. I'm not real consistent with that.

It's an old cookie sheet I spray-painted and mode-podged the words onto. Then glued the buttons onto magnets. It's hanging where the kids hang up their coats and school bags. Sometimes if they're having a hard time being productive, I invite them to repeat the list 2 or 3 times, or a hundred. Whatever it takes.

In the last picture it looks like all the papers are held on with magnets. Did you paint your door with magnetic paint?

Your home looks like such a lovely place to be! I have a church pew in my dining room too! It's 10' long and came from the small town church my cousins attend when they replaced all 12 of their pews.

Great idea! I love it. I may have to make one of these. Lydia Grace is a bit too young for it, but maybe it would make the hubby more productive. LOL! :)
